SensePilot is a webcam based hands-free computer and game controller. It’s an Assistive Technology platform that enables individuals with limited dexterity or reach to control their computers using head movements and facial gestures/expressions.
SensePilot tracks head movements and facial gestures through a standard webcam, translating them into on-screen actions like mouse/cursor movements, clicks and more - no special hardware is needed. It works with advanced computer vision algorithms.
Currently, we support devices running on Windows 10 and Windows 11. We plan to expand compatibility with Android devices. If you have any other devices or operating systems that you’d like to use SensePilot on, please share with us so we can implement the feedback!
No, SensePilot works with most standard webcams, both internal and external, eliminating the need for expensive, specialised hardware.
Either! You can either use the camera built into your device, or an external webcam - the ideal setup depends on your monitor setup as well e.g. you will have more success using multiple monitors with an external camera mounted in the middle/as close to the middle of the monitors as possible.
Unfortunately, if you have only one camera available, Windows won’t allow you to use the camera across multiple applications - we recommend trying an additional external webcam so one camera can be used for SensePilot and the other for video calls.
Yes! SensePilot supports complex PC gaming by enabling precise control through headtracking and facial gestures, making gaming more accessible for everyone. We also enable 360 degree control. You’ll need to check that your PC can run the games too.
Yes! SensePilot is designed for independent setup. If starting a free trial, you will need to click start free trial. We have some templates set up to begin with e.g. head tracking via cursor works when the app starts up and left click is pre-mapped to smile - you can change these to your preferences.
Yes, you can, so you can choose what works best for you.
SensePilot works mostly offline after installation, you will need to periodically connect to the internet to check that your license key is still valid and also for any updates and support. During the free trial period, you will need an internet connection to check that the trial is still live.
SensePilot is designed for individuals with limited dexterity or reach. You can use head movements to control the cursor and bind facial expressions to various clicking actions. These can be used in conjunction with adaptive switches and computer mice.
Yes, you can personalise the controls and sensitivity settings according to your preferences and ranges of motion.
SensePilot can be used by children. Parent or guardian supervision may be required for younger users.
No. All processing happens locally on your device. We do not store, transmit or share your webcam data, ensuring your privacy and security. You can see our privacy policy. In order to maintain licensing, we use your email address and a hashed device ID.
We are currently in beta testing phase to ensure. You will be able to purchase a licence on your website once it ends

We recommend using SensePilot in a fairly well lit room without too much backlight behind you - that can cause issues if the camera can’t see you clearly. If you’re in a dark room, you may be able to use it with the light from a monitor, though this will depend heavily on what you have on your screen! If you’re using multiple monitors, we recommend having a camera placed as close to the centre of them as possible; this will help with reaching far corners with headtracking - you can also try to adjust the sensitivity settings and cursor smoothness to see what works best for you.
For now, one device is allowed per email account/subscription.

We’re aware that some antivirus software flag our app as a false positive - as the app takes control of the device’s cursor, it’s an alarming action to the antivirus software. We’re working with them to whitelist our platform, but in the meantime, you can add us to your device’s whitelist (we hope that this would also flag SensePilot to the antivirus software providers as a trusted platform).
You can set multiple key binds to a facial gesture and have them trigger at different levels. We recommend switching the toggle settings for both key binds to “off” initially. To give some examples: Ctrl + C: You can bind both Ctrl and C to an action like “Open Mouth” - If you set the trigger strength of Ctrl lower and C a bit higher, it will press Ctrl first and then C once you reach the trigger limit for C. Sprinting in Games: A lot of games use the W key to move a character forwards slowly and an additional key like Shift or Ctrl to initiate a sprint - If you set W to a lower level and Shift/Ctrl to higher, the character will walk forwards with a smaller facial gesture and sprint with a larger one.
